VisDare 138: The Outsider

Every day, it’s the same thing: I get up, go to work, come home. I tried the bar scene, but it was even more depressing than just staying home and surfing the ‘net.Last week, I saw an advert that I couldn’t get out of my mind. I wrote down the address because it’s only three stops before mine on the train ride home. It said they were looking for outsiders, those who don’t have much to lose. I looked around at work today and realized how tired I am of the cubicle farm. No one would miss me if I didn’t show up one day. Other than realizing the object of their jokes was gone. Like I can’t hear them with these ears.A new start is probably just what I need. Especially if there are others like me.ab59b3996a307788a33738ea04269238

There is something inherently noir about photos like this. I envision a late-evening ride in a crusty city … hopefully, my 140 words for this week’s prompt capture a little of that. Click the image to visit the prompt and add your thoughts.
