I shut down from work a pinch early yesterday, thinking I’d rest my eyes.Madam Muse had different plans. As I closed my desktop email, she stirred, sparking words galore. I grabbed my notebook and tried to keep up with her murmurings. I poured out the rest of the story I started late last week, breathing a sigh of relief as the last period dripped from my quill. If you saw the story, you’d know why that image is most appropriate. But more on that later. It’s been seven official NaNo days.I closed my eyes and begged Madam to slow down, to not press me further, to let me grasp the tales she spins and get them on the papyrus without cramping my hands. I don’t know if she will heed my ask, but I had to try. However, her pressing and clawing has helped fill the pages of my notebook.Who knows what the next 23 days will bring?
